Proftest Syke will organize a proficiency test (PT) for the analysis of metals and mercury in wastewaters and in sediment.
The measurands for the synthetic sample and industrial and municipal wastewaters are: Al, As, B, Ba, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, K, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, Pb, S, Sb, Se, Ti, V, and Zn. For the sediment sample acid soluble fraction of the same measurands together with dry matter (Drw), N, P, and TC will be tested.
The purpose of this proficiency test is to ensure the comparability and accuracy of the results of the participants. Depending on the measurement, about 10-20 laboratories are expected to participate in this proficiency test.
The organizing of this proficiency test is included in the accreditation scope (finas.fi/sites/en).
Registration deadline is on 14 September 2023.

Sample dispatch date is on 17 October 2023.
The final report for the proficiency test will be published at the latest in April 2024.
