The session focused on knowledge creation by participatory mapping methods, and the evaluation of marine nature protection. The project staff introduced the Plan4Blue map production processes. The second session dealt with spatial analysis of co-location, and crossing administrative and land-sea boundaries. The new Plan4Blue cross-border spatial analysis book was presented in detail”, summarized WP leader Harri Tolvanen from University of Turku.Presentations of session 1 Introduction to the session Harri Tolvanen, University of Turku, WP3 Leader Keynote: Comparing lay vs. expert place-based knowledge and participation supporting marine spatial planning (pdf, 3 MB), Nora Fagerholm, University of Turku Project results: Map production in Plan4Blue (pdf, 5 MB), Meeli Roose, University of Turku Evaluating marine protected areas in Finland (pdf, 4 MB), Matti Sahla, Metsähallitus VELMU inventories support ecosystem-based marine spatial planning and management of sea areas, Markku Viitasalo, SYKE, Finland Presentations of session 2 Keynote: Spatial analysis of co-location in MSP (pdf, 8 MB), Ida Maria Bonnevie, Aalborg University, Denmark Guide for cross-border spatial data analysis in Maritime Spatial Planning (pdf, 3 MB), Tua Nylén, University of Turku, Finland Regional plans as a tool to assess human pressures in the coastal zone of Finland (pdf, 2 MB), Asko Ijäs, Brahea Centre, University of Turku SEAmBOTH – cross-border collaboration in underwater data production (pdf, 5 MB), Jaakko Haapamäki, Metsähallitus, Finland Posters Guide for cross-border spatial data analysis in MSP (pdf, 1 MB) MSP map showcase (pdf, 2 MB) Marine Natura 2000 areas and Maritime Spatial Planning (pdf, 1 MB) Plan4Blue final conference audience.
